Touted as a hallmark event of ACMA, the eighth edition of iAutoConnect 2023 held at ‘Yashobhoomi ICC’ highlighted how auto industry stakeholders right down to the auto parts retailers from countries in regions such as Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia are keen to source from India.
Attracting the presence of over 145 auto components suppliers from diverse geographical parts of the country, the two-day event (held on 22 and 23 November 2023) of ACMA offered a rare insight into the evolution of interesting and fruitful business arrangements with focus on growth and sustainability.
Inaugurated by Dr. Hanif Qureshi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India, along with Sachin Kulkarni, Executive Director, Volkswagen Group India; Ramashankar Pandey, CEO, Tata Green Battery; Shradha Suri Marwah, President, ACMA India and Managing Director Subros, and Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA India, the event had well designated areas for display stalls, business meetings, cafeteria and prayer among others to ensure business visitors and exhibitors did not face any inconvenience.
Accounting for about 15 to 20 percent increase in exhibitor count as compared to the number of exhibitors last year as per a source aware of the development, the event termed as a reverse buyers and sellers meet witnessed positive business outcomes and arrangements for exhibitors – largely auto components suppliers in India catering to OEMs and the aftermarket – in the two and three-wheeler segments.
