ASTON MARTIN PRESENTS THE NEW DB12 SUPER-TOURER IN INDIA!

ASTON MARTIN PRESENTS THE NEW DB12 SUPER-TOURER IN INDIA!

Aston Martin has introduced its newest car to the Indian markets, the Aston Martin DB12 at a starting price of INR 45.9 million, excluding additional customization options. The DB12 made it’s world debut at the Cannes International Film Festival held a few months ago.

The DB12 has undergone a stylish makeover, with a new front-end design, a wider stance, and more muscular surfaces. On the inside, it features a completely redesigned interior with clean lines, along with a modern 10.25-inch infotainment system developed in-house by Aston Martin. Apart from this, the DB12 now also gets larger 21-inch wheels with carbon ceramic brakes. The manufacturer claims a reduced unsprung mass of 27 kg, courtesy of grooving and drilling on the discs to reduce brake fade.

The DB12 is the first of a new generation of Aston Martin sports cars and represents the innovation of 75-years of the brand's DB series. The DB12 promises a remarkable driving experience, high-technology with luxurious comfort and is being called the world's first ‘Super Tourer’ by the car manufacturer. It is being classified as a "Super Tourer" as it goes beyond the typical GT (Grand Tourer) category of cars, creating a new category by itself in terms of performance numbers, including a top speed of 325 km/hr, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hr in just 3.6 seconds. The engine is an AMG 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that has been tuned by Aston Martin engineers to produce 671 bhp and 800 Nm torque while being mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an Electronic Rear Differential – a first for an Aston Martin DB model.

With the recent successful launch of the DBX and DBX707, Aston Martin has been making significant moves in the Indian luxury car market. The introduction of the DB12 expected to set new standards in design, performance, and exclusivity.

“With the 110 years (anniversary) globally, this is the 95th year (since) the first Aston Martin came in India. So, we're also celebrating that. It was in 1928, when the first Aston Martin was brought into India. With the launch of DB12, it makes the occasion even more special for us because its just been few months that the car was globally launched. And today, we also have it in in India. Which also shows the growth of Indian market in the overseas world”, quoted Gautam Dutta, Brand Manager - Sales, Aston Martin New Delhi.

“We are proud to present and launch the DB12 Coupe, the world’s first Super Tourer to media, customers and prospects in India over the coming weeks, commencing in New Delhi, and continuing to Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai”, said Gregory Adams, Regional President - Asia, Aston Martin.
