Cred, a leading financial technology platform, has unveiled a new car valuation and resale feature within its ‘Cred garage’ vehicle management service, which allows its members to easily determine their car's value and facilitate its sale, streamlining a traditionally cumbersome process.

The service has been developed in partnership with used car platforms Cars24 and Spinny, which enables new functionality for instant car valuations, free doorstep inspections and swift payments upon sale completion. A key focus of the new feature is privacy, with member information remaining secure and private until they actively opt to proceed with an inspection.

The service aims to provide a convenient and transparent way for members to assess their car's market value without the need to visit multiple dealerships or endure unsolicited sales calls. Whether a member is planning to sell, comparing offers or simply curious about their car's current worth, the feature leverages data from two of India's leading digital resale platforms to provide quick and reliable insights. It also serves as a valuable tool for cross-referencing quotes received from offline dealers, ensuring members secure a fair price for their vehicle.

How it works

Cred members can instantly access their car's estimated value within Cred garage, a feature already used by over 7 million members to manage their vehicles. By answering a few straightforward questions, they receive a detailed valuation.

Should they decide to sell, members can schedule a complimentary home inspection at their convenience. The process is designed to be hassle-free, with no extensive paperwork required from the member. Once the vehicle is inspected and an offer is accepted, the partner platforms manage the entire resale process, including the crucial step of ownership transfer.

Member information is only shared with partners if an inspection is booked. Until then, all data remains securely with Cred, preventing any unsolicited calls or messages from dealers. Additionally, Cred garage will continue to provide members with helpful tips on maintaining their vehicles, potentially enhancing their car's resale value in the future.

The expansion of Cred garage builds on its existing suite of services, which includes managing challans, renewing pollution certificates, insurance, and FASTag – all from a single platform. Over the past year, more than 2.4 million members have utilised the service to identify pending challans and 5.3 million have received alerts about expiring pollution certificates. With 37 percent of members managing more than one vehicle, this new feature adds significant value to Cred garage.

Cred members constitute a substantial portion of India’s privately owned vehicle demographic. This new feature aims to make car valuation and resale an organised, efficient and spam-free extension of responsible car ownership.

Mahindra Unveils 4 New Concepts On NU_IQ Platform, Targets Global Play Starting 2027

Mumbai-headquartered automotive major Mahindra & Mahindra has unveiled its new modular, multi-energy NU_IQ platform, which it shared will serve as the foundation for a new generation of SUVs set to enter production from 2027.

The company has previewed the platform’s capabilities through four concept vehicles – Vision.S, Vision.T, Vision.SXT and Vision.X – which it claims will ‘disrupt’ the premium SUV space in both domestic and international markets.

The NU_IQ platform has been engineered to deliver flexibility across multiple vehicle types and markets. It can accommodate a range of body styles (top hats), different powertrains including internal combustion engines and electrified systems, as well as both front- and all-wheel-drive layouts. It is also designed for global deployment, supporting both right-hand-drive and left-hand-drive configurations.

Whilst, the complete product specifications are set to be announced closer to the launch, Mahindra has given a glimpse of what one can expect from the platform. These includes–

  • Command seating paired with optimised driving dynamics for comfort and control
  • Flat-floor architecture, enabling what Mahindra says will be the first production flat-floor ICE SUV
  • Lightweight structure meeting stringent safety standards
  • Generous cabin space with class-leading boot capacity
  • Next-generation integrated domain electronics architecture (NU_UX) for advanced connectivity and user experience

The company shared that the platform has been developed to remove compromises typically faced by SUV buyers, offering premium features in a wider range of models.

The four concept models also mark the evolution of Mahindra’s ‘HEARTCORE’ design philosophy, created jointly at the Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS) in Mumbai and Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) in Banbury, UK.

Each concept reflects a distinct personality – from the ‘Born Iconic’ ethos of the Vision.T and Vision.SXT to the ‘Sporty Solidity’ of the Vision.S and the ‘Sculptural Athleticism’ of the Vision.X. All four have been engineered at Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai.

Global Play

Mahindra plans to introduce production versions of these vehicles starting in 2027, with a strategy to target both domestic and export markets. The company is positioning these SUVs in the premium segment, aiming to redefine the customer experience in India while also expanding into left-hand-drive markets overseas.

Mahindra Unleashes The Dark Knight: A Limited-Edition BE 6 Batman SUV

Mahindra has unveiled a new, highly limited edition of its BE 6 Electric Origin SUV, drawing inspiration from Christopher Nolan's acclaimed The Dark Knight Trilogy. 

In a collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the automaker has created a 300-unit limited-run vehicle that is being positioned as a unique collector's item, merging a passion for cinema with cutting-edge electric mobility and is priced at INR 2.77 million.

The BE 6 Batman Edition is far more than a simple re-badge. It is a meticulous reinterpretation of the vehicle, designed to evoke the aural and visual essence of the Caped Crusader's world. This special edition features an exclusive Custom Satin Black finish, complemented by Alchemy Gold-painted suspension and brake calipers, which provide a striking contrast and a touch of luxury. The Bat emblem, as seen in The Dark Knight Trilogy, is discreetly yet pervasively incorporated throughout the vehicle, from the hub caps and front quarter panels to the rear bumper and an illuminated 'Infinity Roof'. Even the welcome lights project the iconic symbol onto the ground.

Inside, the exclusivity continues with a brushed Alchemy Gold plaque on the dashboard, individually numbered to highlight the car's rarity. The cabin is upholstered in suede and leather with gold sepia accent stitching and an integrated Bat emblem, creating a rich and tactile experience. Gold accents are also found on the steering wheel, in-touch controller, and the custom key fob. For a truly immersive experience, the car features a Batman Edition welcome animation on the infotainment display and even custom Batman-inspired exterior engine sounds.

Citroen India Unveils New C3X Range With Enhanced Features At INR 525,000

Stellantis-owned Citroen India has launched the new C3X, an updated version of its popular SUV at introductory prices starting INR 525,000. The move is part of the company's ‘Shift Into the New’ strategic plan.

The new model comes with 15 new features designed to improve comfort, safety and convenience while maintaining its position as an accessible vehicle in its segment.

A standout new feature is the Proxi-Sense Passive Entry and Push Start system. Unlike conventional keyless entry, this technology automatically unlocks the car when the key is nearby and locks it as the driver walks away, offering true hands-free convenience. The C3X is also claimed to be the only SUV in its class to offer Cruise Control with a Speed Limiter, which is designed to make long motorway journeys more comfortable.

Additional enhancements include:

  • An auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror for reduced glare.
  • The HALO 360-degree camera system with seven viewing angles for improved visibility.
  • Upgraded LED Vision projector headlamps and fog lamps.
  • A comprehensive safety suite that now includes six airbags and a perimetric alarm system.

The new C3X maintains the distinct SUV-inspired design of the original model, with a 180mm ground clearance and a compact turning radius of 4.98m, making it suitable for both city and highway driving. It is available with two engine options: a 1.2L PureTech 82 naturally aspirated engine and a 1.2L PureTech 110 Direct Injection turbo engine. The turbo model can go from zero to 100 kmph in under 10 seconds and has an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 19.3 kmpl.

Inside, the car features a best-in-class cabin with a spacious 2,540mm wheelbase and theatre-style rear seating. The 26cm Citroen Connect Infotainment System offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A new tropicalised automatic air-conditioning system is also included, which has been specifically designed to cope with India’s hot climate.
