Ducati Launches All New Panigale V2

India Needs To Increase NR Cultivation Area: Rubber Board Chairman

Italian luxury motorcycle maker Ducati has launched all-new Panigale V2 in India at a price of INR 16.99 lacs (Ex-Showroom India).

Equipped with a 955 cc twin cylinder Superquadro engine which is now BS-VI compliant, the new bike delivers more power (+5 HP) and torque (+2 Nm) thanks to new injectors (larger in size with a different working angle) and a more efficient snorkel which minimises pressure loss. The V2 also features a new compact exhaust, routed entirely underneath the engine giving a clean look to the beautiful lines of the youngest member of the Panigale superbike family.

Unlike the outgoing model, the Panigale V2 features a single-sided aluminium swingarm, the hallmark of every high-end sports Ducati. Gently moulded around the refined monocoque frame, the extensive fairing highlights the more compact twin-cylinder Superquadro engine creating a bike that is visibly leaner and less intimidating than the Panigale V4.

The updated suspension set-up on the Panigale V2 includes a fully adjustable 43 mm Showa Big Piston Fork at the front, fully adjustable side-mounted Sachs mono-shock at the rear, & a cross-mounted Sachs steering damper for improved comfort. The Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II derived from WSBK, grace the Panigale V2 both on the front and at the rear. The tires combine racetrack-level performance with road versatility & ensure superior grip on all surfaces.

Boasting of cutting-edge electronics package, it features the latest generation electronics suite based on a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit that instantly detects the bike's roll, yaw and pitch angles. It Includes Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control EVO 2, Ducati Quick Shift EVO 2, Ducati Wheelie Control EVO, Engine Braking Control EVO and all these electronics never leave the rider in any doubt that the Panigale V2 is a thoroughbred Ducati which raises the active safety and dynamic control standards on the motorcycle.

All controls are incorporated in the three Riding Modes (Race, Sport, Street) and can be adjusted via the all-new 4.3" colour TFT dashboard. Featuring a user-friendly graphic interface, browsing menus, adjusting settings and identifying the selected Riding Mode couldn't be easier.

The Panigale V2 has revised ergonomics aimed at improving comfort and ensuring safety. The new seat allows for greater longitudinal movement of the rider and greater comfort thanks to the new foam that raises it by 5 mm. The position of the foot pegs remains the same.

Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India said, “The Panigale portfolio is a significant milestone in Ducati’s superbike journey that has brought incredible recognition to the brand. With the entry of Panigale V2, we bring a model in the family that looks and feels more accessible while delivering the true Ducati experience. Built to impress, it is a superbike with a decisive character and beginners as well as experts will have a lot of fun on it. The Panigale V2 is our first BS-VI motorcycle for 2020 and has received tremendous customer response with an overwhelming consumer engagement. Needless to say, we are eager to see riders unleashing this beautiful beast on the street and the racetrack, to set a new paradigm in the super mid category.” (MT)

TVS Motor Co's Hosur Plant Rolls Out First Norton Atlas Motorcycle

Norton Atlas

Norton Motorcycles has officially begun production of its new Atlas model range at TVS Motor Company’s manufacturing facility in Hosur, India. The first units were marked by a roll-out ceremony on 24 June 2026, attended by Dr Sutapa Choudhury, British Deputy High Commissioner.

This production milestone precedes the global launch of the Atlas and Atlas GT scheduled for next month, with customer deliveries expected to commence later in Q3 of 2026.

The new Atlas range is designed and engineered at Norton’s headquarters in Solihull, UK. Both models are powered by the same 585cc liquid-cooled parallel twin with a 270-degree firing order. The chassis is built uses lightweight steel trellis frame, while electronics in the motorcycle include Bosch six-axis IMU, lean-sensitive rider aids, five configurable rider modes, cornering cruise control, 8-inch TFT display and smartphone connectivity. The motorcycles get fully adjustable KYB suspension.

The Atlas is configured for all-terrain use with a 19-inch front wheel, while the Atlas GT features 17-inch wheels at both ends, prioritising on-road performance.

The decision to manufacture the Atlas range in Hosur leverages the industrial infrastructure and supply-chain capabilities of TVS Motor Company, which owns Norton. While Solihull continues to focus on the production of the Manx R superbike, the Hosur plant provides the necessary scale for the brand's entry into the competitive middleweight adventure and sport-touring segments.

K N Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO, TVS Motor Company, said, “The first Atlas roll-out at Hosur is a proud moment - one that brings together the best of both Norton and TVS Motor Company: British design and engineering capability with Indian manufacturing excellence, and a shared commitment to quality for customers worldwide.”

Richard Arnold, Executive Director, Norton Motorcycles, added, “The Atlas name is emblematic of an era when motorcycling was synonymous with adventure. We are proudly carrying that legacy forward with a line-up of modern, quintessentially British adventure motorcycles.”

The Atlas range is scheduled for introduction in the Indian market later in the year. Sales and service will be managed through TVS Paddock, a new premium retail channel set to launch in Q2 FY27, designed to provide a bespoke customer experience tailored to the brand's positioning.
