Royal Enfield Launches Goan Classic 350

Royal Enfield has launched the Goan Classic 350, a bobber-inspired motorcycle that is inspired by the ‘70s and ‘80s iconic Goan moto-culture.

Powered by Royal Enfield’s popular 349 cc air-oil cooled, single-cylinder engine, the Goan Classic produces 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Staying true to the bobber style, the Goan Classic 350 features chopped fenders, mid-ape handlebars, floating rider seat and whitewall tyres on tubeless spoke wheels. The Goan Classic 350 also features bolt-on arrangement pillion seat to switch between single and dual seat configurations and comes with a range of bobber-inspired Genuine Motorcycle Accessories (GMAs) including a custom rider seat, handlebar grips, bar-end mirrors, touring screen, touring handlebar, deluxe foot pegs and foot control rubbers.

The Goan Classic 350 is built on a twin downtube spine frame and comes with telescopic front suspension with 41 mm forks and twin rear shock absorbers, along with dual-channel ABS with 300 mm front and 270 mm rear disc brakes. The dashboard features a gear position indicator and Tripper navigation pod, while a USB Type-C charging port ensures connectivity. The Goan Classic is available in three single-toned colour options (Shack Black, Purple Haze and Trip Teal) and one double-toned option (Rave Red). The single-toned colour variants are priced at INR 235,000 (ex-showroom Chennai), while the double-toned option is priced at INR 238,000 (ex-showroom Chennai).

Siddhartha Lal, Managing Director – Eicher Motors Ltd, said, “The Goan Classic is a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of freedom and individuality that Royal Enfield has championed for decades. To me, this motorcycle is an embodiment of the cool, laid-back Goan moto-culture, and Royal Enfield’s passion to build motorcycles that are more than just machines, and are a means to self-discovery and expression. This motorcycle feels right at home, not just on the streets of Goa but brings the relaxed and easy Goan vibe to free-spirited and freewheeling riders everywhere.”

B Govindarajan, CEO, Royal Enfield, said, “Rooted in custom bobber culture, the Goan Classic is a beautiful fusion of classic design and modern engineering. From the low-slung silhouette and the single floating rider seat, the contours and ergonomics, and the dazzling kaleidoscope of colourways, the Goan Classic has a very bohemian and free-spirited vibe combined with relaxed and comfortable riding manners. This is a motorcycle for those who ride not just to get from place to place, but to live and experience every moment with authenticity."

Aishwarya Pissay Wins Third Bajas World Cup Medal

Aishwarya Pissay Wins Third Bajas World Cup Medal

Aishwarya Pissay has added one more World Championship medal to her kitty by securing third place in the 2024 FIM Bajas World Cup. With this victory, she has become the first and only Indian to win three World Championship medals in Motorsport.

The championship's eighth and final event, the challenging Dubai International Baja, took place on Sunday, marking the end of the season. The Bengaluru rider, who competed in the 450 cc and Ladies' classes, encountered technical difficulties, including problems with her navigation system in the last round, which prevented her from making it to the final classification. Notwithstanding these disappointments, she was able to solidify her position as a trailblazer in Indian motorsport by earning enough points from previous events to clinch the second runner-up spot on the Bajas World Cup standings.

With her victory in the 2019 Bajas World Cup, Pissay became the first Indian to win a World Championship in motorsport. She currently possesses three World Cup medals, which is a record in 2W motorsport. Together with co-sponsors IIFL, Micro Labs and Surana College, TVS Racing has helped to support her outstanding achievements.

Pissay said, “This rally was a true test of resilience. Unfortunately, technical issues with the navigation system on both days kept me out of the general classification, but every challenge brings a valuable lesson. Rally life often throws the unexpected at you, and this experience has only fuelled my determination to come back stronger. Despite the setbacks, I’m immensely proud to have secured 3rd place in the World Championship for India. This marks my third World Championship podium in the history of the sport, and I’m deeply grateful for the unwavering support of my team, fans, and everyone who continues to believe in me.”
