Eicher Secures Order For 1,621 Buses And 42 Heavy Duty Trucks From UPSRTC

Eicher Trucks & Buses, a division of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), has announced that it has bagged an order from UPSRTC for 1,621 buses and 42 heavy-duty trucks. The order is part of the Uttar Pradesh Government’s focus on infrastructure development and includes 1,344 units of LMD Built-up Non-A/C Buses (Skyline Pro 3011 L and Skyline Pro 3010 L) for efficient passenger transport, 197 units of Eicher Pro 6016 12m AC Buses, 80 units of Eicher Pro 6016 CNG Bus Cowl Chassis and 42 units of Eicher Pro 3019 Trucks for logistics and parts movement.
Built on the dependable 3000 series platform, the Skyline Pro is a high-end line of light and medium load buses by Eicher. High performance E494 and E474 BSVI engines, which provide the highest fuel efficiency in their class, power the Skyline Pro series of buses. The buses on the Pro 3010 and 3011 platforms are constructed with a modern style and provide commuters with a more pleasant trip, varied seating options, improved visual appeal and an improved quality impression.
The strong E694 CNG engine of the Eicher Pro 6016 CNG Bus, which has an intercooler and turbocharger, can provide up to 150 kW of power. It has a sturdy Domex chassis, rubber-padded suspension for comfortable rides and large-capacity CNG tanks for longer journeys. For tough journeys, the sophisticated IDIS 2.0 system is a dependable workhorse that increases driver efficiency. With its intelligent and effective E494 engine and sophisticated Engine Management System, the Eicher Pro 3019 offers remarkable performance and fuel economy.

Ashok Leyland Opens New LCV Dealership In Maharashtra

Chennai-headquartered automotive major Ashok Leyland has inaugurated a new dealership for Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) in Ratnagiri. This facility is the 16th LCV dealership in Maharashtra, adding to a distribution network of 950 touchpoints across India.
The new dealership is operated by Lavekar Motors as a 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) facility, which features 8 service bays and is located near Mahanagar CNG Pump.

Stoneridge To Showcase EVO ECU Platform, Innovation Truck At IAA Transportation 2026

US-headquartered electronic systems and technology company for commercial vehicles, buses, coaches, and off-highway equipment, Stoneridge, has announced its participation in IAA Transportation 2026.
The company is set to exhibit the EVO ECU platform, an electronic control unit designed to support the transition to software-defined vehicles (SDVs). The unit provides processing capability and connectivity, intended to manage vehicle complexity while reducing integration efforts and system costs.

Stoneridge will also feature its Innovation Truck, a demonstrator vehicle equipped with an integrated vision solution and connected tractor and trailer technologies. The display follows the MirrorEye Camera Monitor System, for which the company has produced over 150,000 units. The demonstrator serves to show the integration of the company's technology portfolio for driver awareness and fleet operations.

New Holland Launches HD And XHD Series Rotary Tillers In India

New Holland, a brand of CNH Group, has expanded its farm mechanisation portfolio in India with the launch of its new HD and XHD Series Rotary Tillers (Rotavators). The new range is manufactured at the company’s facility in Pune.
The equipment is designed for diverse soil types and agro-climatic zones, aiming to improve soil preparation, productivity, and field performance. A high swing diameter facilitates deeper tillage, improving seed-to-soil contact. The heavy-duty multi-speed gearbox allows farmers to adjust operations based on specific soil conditions, which the company states helps optimise fuel use and save time. The units incorporate Metal Twin-Faced (MTF) seals to protect the rotor hub from water ingress, and utilise DTM paint technology for corrosion resistance.

Chartered Speed Deploys Electric Buses Across 18 Cities Under PM e-Bus Sewa

Chartered Speed is deploying nearly 3,000 electric buses across 18 cities in India as part of the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Sewa & e-Drive Scheme. The company aims to enhance public transportation in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, with the full network projected to cover 200 million kilometres annually.
To support these operations, Chartered Speed has implemented a technology-led infrastructure, including a Command & Control Centre for fleet monitoring and structured training programmes for drivers.
The company has already commenced operations with 55 electric buses, including 25 nine-metre buses (27-seaters) and 30 seven-metre buses (22-seaters) in Shillong, Meghalaya. The launch was led by Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma.
Furthermore, in Rajasthan, it is managing an order for 876 buses across the state, with initial operations started for 29 buses in Jaipur and 18 buses in Bhilwara, inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
