Kia Unveils Carens Clavis 3-Row Model In India

Kia India has expanded its Carens lineup with the launch of the Carens Clavis, which is a three-row vehicle available in 6- and 7-seat configurations.
The company shared that the name ‘Clavis’ comes from the Latin phrase Clavis Aurea, meaning ‘Golden Key’, and is positioned by the company as a vehicle suited to families seeking flexible space and utility.
Since its debut three years ago, the Carens has gone home to over 200,000 families in India. According to the company, the Clavis is a response to changing consumer requirements and builds on the Carens platform with added features.
The Carens Clavis includes exterior elements such as Kia’s Digital Tiger Face, LED headlamps with DRLs, and connected LED taillamps. It rides on 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and includes front and rear skid plates, side door inserts and is available in a new Ivory Silver Gloss paint option.

On the inside, the Clavis features a dual-display setup combining infotainment and driver information panels, measuring 26.62 cm each. The cabin includes sliding and reclining second-row seating with one-touch tumble function, third-row access with a segment-first electric folding mechanism and an optional panoramic sunroof.
Other interior features include seat-mounted air purifiers, roof-mounted air vents, ambient lighting with multiple colour options, ventilated front seats, powered driver seat adjustment and an 8-speaker audio system from Bose.
The Carens Clavis comes with remote control for power windows and a 360-degree camera system paired with a blind view monitor displayed in the instrument cluster. Spot lamps have been integrated into the rear doors for additional visibility.
On the safety front, the Carens Clavis includes Level 2 ADAS with 20 autonomous features such as – Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Avoidance, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance and more. The standard safety package includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Control and Rear Occupant Alert.
The Carens Clavis is offered with three engine options: the Smartstream G1.5 petrol, the Smartstream G1.5 Turbo-GDi petrol (available with a manual transmission) and the D1.5 diesel. The vehicle will be available in seven trims: HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX, and HTX+.
Available colour options include Ivory Silver Gloss, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Grey, Sparkling Silver, Aurora Black Pearl, and Clear White.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Sells 62,611 Units In July 2026

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, one of the leading automakers in the country, has announced its wholesales for July 2026.
The company reported total sales of 63,760 units, up 59 percent YoY, which includes a robust 62,611 units in the domestic market, a growth of 58 percent, as against 39,521 units sold last year.
The exports came at 1,149 units, up 76 percent YoY, albeit a low-year-ago base of 654 units.
In July 2026, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles sold 15,217 electric vehicles, which was 114 percent higher YoY, as against 7,124 EVs sold last year.
JSW MG Motor India Sells 8,518 PVs In July 2026

JSW MG Motor India, one of the leading passenger vehicle manufacturers, has announced that it has achieved its highest-ever monthly wholesale sales for the second consecutive month.
The company reported wholesale figures of 8,158 units last month, which marks a 22 percent YoY growth.
Interestingly, sales of electric vehicles now contribute to more than 80 percent to the company’s total sales.

Nissan Motor India Sells 4,518 PVs In July 2026

Nissan Motor India has announced its wholesale figures for July 2027, selling a total of 9,339 units, up 66.5 percent YoY, as compared to 5,608 units sold last year.
In the domestic market, the company sold 4,518 units, as compared to 1,420 units sold last year, while exports came at 4,821 units.
With the recent introduction of the Tekton SUV, the Japanese automaker has expanded its product offering to three models with the Magnite and Gravite.
Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said, “The 218 percent YoY growth in domestic wholesales in July is a strong reflection of the momentum Nissan is building in India, and the confidence customers continue to place in our brand. Hyundai Motor India Sells 54,210 Units In July 2026

Hyundai Motor India, one of the leading passenger vehicle manufacturers, has announced attaining its highest-ever monthly wholesales of 75,360 units in July 2026, up 25.4 percent YoY.
In the domestic market, the company sold 54,210 units, up 23.3 percent YoY, while exports came at 21,150 units its highest-ever in the last 100-months, up 31.4 percent YoY.
Last month, the company’s popular offering, the Hyundai Creta, also saw its highest-ever monthly sales at 18,088 units, while Hyundai i20 saw a similar record performance of 6,738 in CY2026.
