Royal Enfield Introduces New Colourways on the 650 Twin’s

Royal Enfield has launched new colourways and personalisation options for the 650 twins via the Royal Enfield Make-it-Yours. Customers can choose a wide variety of customisation options, including seats, touring mirrors, flyscreen and sump guards that enhance the style and riding experience.

The company has introduced five new colours on the Interceptor INT 650 Twin, including two new standard (single tone) colourways- Canyon Red and Ventura Blue; two new Custom (dual tone) colourways - Downtown Drag and Sunset Strip and an updated version of the ‘Chrome’ in the Mark 2. The company has retained the original single tone Orange Crush and the dual-tone Baker Express colourway.

To increase the Interceptor’s roadster appeal, Royal Enfield is offering cosmetic upgrades like new seat options – a standard touring, dual seat and touring seat with ribbed styled stitching and cowl finish along with touring mirrors, tall and short tinted flyscreens, fork gaiters, engine guards and sump guards in various finishes. Blacked out rims and mudguards previously available on the dual-tone variants have now been introduced for the single tone variants.

For the Continental GT 650, the company has taken inspiration from the café racer from the ’60s and introduced two new standard colourways- Rocker Red (single tone colourway) and British Racing Green; two new Custom (dual tone) colourways– Dux Deluxe and Ventura Storm and an updated version of the ‘Chrome’ in Mister Clean.

To increase the Continental GT’s café racer style, MiY will offer a painted screen kit in black, bar-end mirrors, single-seat cowl in various colours, along with sump guards and engine guards for additional protection.

All accessories are homologated and come with a two-year warranty.

Speaking about the customisation options Vinod K. The Interceptor pricing will be INR 2,75,467 (ex-showroom India) for the standard variant, while the custom colourway costs INR 2,83,593 (ex-showroom India). The Continental GT will cost INR 2,91,701 (ex-showroom), with the Custom colourways costing INR 2,99,830 (ex-showroom). The top of the line ‘Chrome’ variant will be available at INR 2,97,133 (ex-showroom) and INR 3,13,367 (ex-showroom), respectively. (MT)

Steelbird Hi-Tech India, the helmet manufacturer, has unveiled the SBH-32 Aeronautics Bluetooth smart helmet at INR 4,399.

The SBH-32 Aeronautics features Bluetooth 5.2 technology, offering up to 48 hours of talk time and 110 hours of standby. The helmet is Dual-certified, meeting both DOT FMVSS No. 218 and BIS IS 4151:2015 standards.

The helmet is constructed with a PC-ABS blend shell for impact protection. The structure incorporates air vents for airflow, while a wind deflector, vortex generators and rear spoiler reduce air drag and turbulence. The visor is Pinlock-ready, coated and resistant. Reflective elements on the back of the neck pad enhance visibility during night rides.

The interior padding is removable and washable, featuring breathability and sweat-absorption properties. It includes a cheek pad EPS and a Double D-Ring fastener. It is available in 580 mm, 600 mm and 620 mm sizes.

Bengaluru-headquartered electric vehicle maker Ultraviolette has further expanded its global presence with entering the Spain and Portugal markets.

TVS Motor Co Launches Apache RTX Adventure Motorcycle At INR 199,000

Chennai-based two-wheeler and three-wheeler major TVS Motor Company has launched the new TVS Apache RTX adventure motorcycle, creating a new segment that combines speed with exploration.

The motorcycle is built on the new Next-Gen TVS RT-XD4 engine platform is available at an introductory price of INR 199,000.

The Apache RTX is powered by a 299.1cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke DOHC engine that produces 36 PS of power at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. It features a 6-speed manual transmission, fuel injection, assist and slipper clutch and  a Steel trellis frame. The engine platform supports ethanol-blended fuels and has reduced emissions.

The Apache RTX includes several features for on-road and off-road riding:

  • Chassis & Suspension: Features a Steel Trellis Frame and Long-Travel Suspension from WP (Front: Inverted Cartridge Fork; Rear: Mono-tube with Floating Piston – MFP).
  • Engine Platform: The TVS RT-XD4 engine platform uses 4 Dual Technologies for performance, including Dual Overhead Cams and a Dual cooling jacket cylinder head.
  • Electronics: Includes Multiple Ride Modes (Urban, Rain, Tour, Rally), Cruise Control and a Quickshifter.
  • Rider Interface: Features a 5-inch TFT Display with Map Mirroring, showing turn-by-turn directions.
  • Safety Systems: Includes Traction control, wheelie mitigation and terrain-adaptive ABS.
