Triumph Motorcycles has launched the Scrambler 400 XC in India at INR 294,147 (ex-showroom Delhi), expanding its 400cc Modern Classic lineup. The model joins the existing Scrambler 400X and will be available at all authorised Triumph dealerships across the country.

The Scrambler 400 XC marks over 75 years of the Scrambler legacy and is influenced by previous models like the Scrambler 900 and 1200. The motorcycle features a design aligned with Triumph’s traditional styling, including a sculpted tank, upswept silencer and a liquid-cooled engine. It has been built for mixed-terrain use and off-road capabilities.

The bike includes a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cross-spoke wheel setup with tubeless tyres. Standard equipment includes an engine guard, sump guard, high front fender, windshield and handguards. It is available in three colours: Racing Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White.

Key specifications include a 400cc TR-series engine tuned for the Scrambler with an output of 40 PS at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The motorcycle features a stainless steel twin-skin header system and silencer.

It also gets ride-by-wire throttle, motorcycle traction control, off-road ABS, torque-assist clutch, all-LED lighting, USB charging socket and an immobiliser-equipped key. It also has an adjustable clutch and brake levers, a dual-format instrument cluster and a classic tear-shaped metal fuel tank.

The suspension comprises USD front forks and a rear monoshock, each with 150mm travel.

Triumph offers over 20 accessories for customisation. The motorcycle has a 16,000 km service interval and comes with a five-year standard warranty, including one year of roadside assistance. Extended warranty options are available up to 10 years, along with various maintenance contract packages.

Pune-headquartered automotive major Bajaj Auto marked India's 79th Independence Day with 'The Great Indian Ride', an event that brought together Chetak riders for a cultural parade in Bengaluru on 16 August 2025. The ride was a celebration of patriotism and heritage, uniting generations of riders.

More than just a scooter rally, the company stated that 'The Great Indian Ride' was a tribute to the values that have shaped both India's progress and the Chetak's legacy of innovation. A diverse group of riders, including Chetak owners, brand friends and influencers, rode through historic routes like MG Road and Netaji Road, making stops at national landmarks such as Freedom Park. The riders were dressed in traditional Indian attire with tri-colour motifs, bringing the city to life.

The ride concluded with a memorable finale. All the Chetaks were parked to form the number '79', and the national flag was hoisted, creating a striking visual from a bird's eye view. The event established the Chetak as a cultural movement rooted in Indian values, rather than just a product. It was designed to be visually iconic and emotionally resonant, redefining the role of scooters in Indian mobility by associating them with pride and national identity.

India Yamaha Motor, one of the leading two-wheeler manufacturers in the country, has updated its 125cc Fi Hybrid scooter range with new features and colour options.

The company’s hybrid scooter lineup now features the ‘Enhanced Power Assist’ function, which delivers high torque, stronger acceleration and performance. Powered by a high-performance battery, the function allows users to squeeze more power from the scooter, which will be useful when starting from standstill, carrying loads or climbing inclines. The scooters continue to be equipped with the Smart Motor Generator (SMG) technology, Silent Start and Stop & Start System (SSS) tech.

Furthermore, the Fascino S scooter now features a Colour TFT Instrument Cluster equipped with Turn-by-Turn (TBT) Navigation, using smartphone connectivity through the Y-Connect app. It is also integrated with Google Maps to support Turn-by-Turn (TBT) navigation.

In terms of colour options, the Fascino S 125 Fi Hybrid, is now available in Matte Grey colour option, while the disc-brake variant gets Metallic Light Green and drum-brake variant gets Metallic White options. Alongside, the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid Street Rally is offered in a Matte Grey Metallic hue, and the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid disc variant features a Silver White Cocktail shade.

The Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) has announced a new partnership with GUTS Racing USA, a prominent off-road racing brand with a 30-year history.

This alliance will see GUTS Racing provide its premium factory series seat covers to all ISRL teams, aiming to boost rider performance, safety and control on the demanding Supercross tracks.

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, one of the leading manufacturers of mid-sized premium motorcycles in India, has launched the 2025 Yezdi Roadster at prices starting INR 209,969 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The mid-sized motorcycle is being made available in six factory-backed custom combinations with more than 50 combination options.

The motorcycle comes with iconic twin-barrel exhausts, chopped rear fender and bold ‘69’ decals, with customers having an option to choose from over six factory custom combinations and over 20 plug-and-play accessories including – modular seating options, customisable handlebars, visors and crash guards among others.

The Roadster is powered by the in-house developed all-new 350 Alpha2 Liquid-Cooled engine, which produces 29PS and 30Nm of power. It gets first-in-segment 6-speed gearbox and assist and slipper clutch, 12.5 litre fuel tank with a claimed range of over 350 km.

In terms of safety, it is powered by dual-channel ABS from Continental, 320mm front disc brakes and 240mm rear disc brakes. A telescopic front suspension and dual rear shocks are calibrated for stability and comfort, while its 795mm seat height and optimised ground clearance.

Interestingly, it comes with Jawa Yezdi BSA Ownership Assurance Programme, an industry-first standard 4-year/50,000km warranty, optional coverage for up to six years, one year of roadside assistance across its 450 service stations across India.
