Amazon India Registers 6X Increase In Two-Wheeler Sales Ahead Of Dhanteras
- By MT Bureau
- October 30, 2026
Amazon India has recorded a sixfold increase in two-wheeler sales during the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 sales event, driven by demand across non-metro regions.
The company said tier-2 and tier-3 locations accounted for over 60 percent of total two-wheeler transactions, led by cities including Surat, Kota, Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Prayagraj and Kanpur.
Within product categories, daily commuter motorcycles recorded a 13.5-fold sales growth, while electric vehicles grew eightfold, and premium motorcycles saw a 2.5-fold increase. Simultaneously, Amazon's Automotive Store recorded a 2.2-fold growth rate across vehicle accessories, spare parts, helmets, and care products.
To support vehicle purchases, the platform integrated financing options including paperless Amazon Pay Shopping Loans with monthly instalments starting at INR 2,350 across tenures up to 24 months, alongside bank discounts and cashback incentives. The platform also expanded brand availability to include TVS Motor Co, Flying Flea and Ultraviolette Automotive, while integrating artificial intelligence tools such as the Rufus shopping assistant and the Part Finder compatibility tool within Amazon Garage to match spare parts with specific vehicle models.
Aman Deep Lohan, Director of Home, Kitchen and Outdoors, Amazon India, said, "This has been the most exciting Amazon Great Indian Festival sale for two-wheelers. More customers than ever are starting their purchase on Amazon.in, researching and comparing their next bike, and this festive season the trend has accelerated sharply. We have focused on what matters most to the customer: the widest selection of products, guided discovery, easy payment options with affordability levers, customer reviews and support that continues long after the purchase. AI based shopping assistant, Rufus, helps customers research their options, and we have recently added brands like TVS Motor, Flying Flea and Ultraviolette. To make discovery even more convenient, especially for complex and specialised tasks like finding the right spare part, we have also added Part Finder to match parts to their exact vehicle and accessory suggestions to help them pick gear for their new ride. Together, these make the experience of buying a two-wheeler online simpler and immersive."
